Public Service prior to being elected as Mayor:
§ Desert Hot Springs Economic Development – Chairman 2003, Vice 2000-2003. Responsible for “First time Home Buyer Program” and the “Hotel Restoration Grant.”
§ Desert Hot Springs Mayor’s Beautification Committee – Co/Chairman 2001-2003. Responsible for Front Yard Beautification Program, and Merchant Street Frontage Program.
§ Desert Hot Springs Chamber Of Commerce Board of Directors 2000-2002, Secretary 2002

Public Service while Mayor:
§ Riverside County Transportation Commissioner (Approved I-10 Corridor Improvement at Palm Drive/Gene Autry Trail Started 2010 due to completed 2012). Budget Committee Member.
§ California Association of Governments Executive Committee Member (Advocated for Coachella Valley Multi Species Habitat Conservation Plan). Transportation Committee Member representing CVAG on Southern California Association of Governments Transportation and Communication Committee.
§ Board Member of the SunLine Transit Agency (Proposed and Board approved a new Bus Route in Desert Hot Springs (Route 15) which was dedicated October 2011and more Bus Stops with shelters which were installed in 2008).
